Is there any reason this won't work? I haven't been able to get it working. I am trying to get it to work with the ULN2003 like in the schematic in the link. Since I am not the brightest crayon in the box, I didn't read the entire datasheet before I placed my order, and missed the part about the 298. I was going off this schematic I know they are driving a unipolar motor there, but shoudn't this also work with a bipolar motor? It says on the L297 datasheet that the 297 is normally used with the 298 bridge driver. I connected a stepper motor to A and B output, left the 5 volt and both enables jumper in place, connected the IN1-4 to arduino 8-11, feed the arduino with the bridge 5 V source, loaded the arduino 'one turn' (200 pulse) stepper sample routine. 5x L297 Stepper Motor Controller Driver IC DIP Robot 4WD USA.
